This indispensable tool delivers fast and precise readings of pH and chlorine levels. It is an electronic testing device for routine monitoring of pH and chlorine (Cl2) levels in swimming pools, spas, and other water sources.
Why Regular Testing Is So Important
When chlorine and pH levels fall out of balance, it can lead to diarrhea as well as ear and skin infections. Optimal chlorine and pH levels keep harmful bacteria in check.
Note: if the pH rises too high, the disinfecting power of chlorine decreases. Chlorine can also be rapidly depleted when large amounts of nitrogen (from dirt, urine, sunscreen, or sweat) or other organic matter enter the pool. For this reason, it is advisable to test levels continuously, as they can change from day to day depending on pool usage.
